Daily Meditation
Daily meditation is one of the strongest weapons you can have in your arsenal against the slings and arrows of daily strife. Meditation has been shown to have a positive effect on many physical problems such as high blood pressure, digestive problems, chronic pain and auto-immune disorders. Perhaps even more importantly, meditation can also benefit you spiritually.
Roy Masters, author of 16 acclaimed books and host of the country's longest running radio show, has developed a method of meditation he calls "Be Still and Know." This method differs significantly from more traditional meditation practices. While the goal of most meditation practices is to clear the mind of thoughts, Masters encourages his followers to allow thoughts in and take a good look at them.
Stress, anxiety and other maladies aren't imposed from the outside, but arise from our reaction to events, stimuli and negative thoughts. Masters invites you to simply observe these things without reacting to them emotionally. Once you have reached that level of objectivity, your stress--and your errors--will simply fade away.
"Be Still and Know" meditation breaks the cycle of programmed reactions that have been instilled in us since an early age. Listening daily to the guided meditation exercise available on the FHU website can free you from your own ego and allow you to access your true identity. When your conditioning has been removed, your real soul and spirit will be free to act correctly, as you will act by instinct and intuition.
